This last stage of our services process involves distributing your completed marketing flyer to either homes (Residential) or other businesses services.

Residential Distribution

Our distributions department here at HFD have their own team of dedicated walkers who are very capable and work intensively for us to deliver your marketing flyers to any and all suburbs in and around Melbourne.

What makes HFD unique from our other competitors is that:

  • We do NOT deliver newspapers
  • We deliver directly into letterbox slots, and NOT into newspaper holes
  • We have our own team of Walkers & Supervisors
  • We are more flexible with cut-off times than our competitors
  • Should you encounter any issues with your marketing campaign here with us, we will fix them at our cost, if required
  • Your fliers do NOT require bundling nor do they have to be planned weeks prior to distribution, as is the protocol of some of our competitors
  • There are no minimum numbers of flyers to be distributed. You will only be charged for the number of flyers you print and distribute through us

In addition, we have recently established our very own unique Auditing system, which provides all our customers with peace of mind that their marketing material is being distributed on time and in the most effective way.

To highlight the different areas of our residential distribution system and the choices our customers have in this process, here is an example:

Choices available in the distribution of a set number of pamphlets (eg.10,000):

  • Doing a blanket drop of all of one suburb OR selecting specific areas in a suburb you which to cover;
  • Delivery within a set radius of you business;
  • Delivery of addressed mail at a fraction of the cost of Australia Post;
  • Bulk Mailouts;
  • Distribution of magnets;
  • Regular monthly deliveries, such as Newsletters;
  • Marketing Plans

Marketing Plans:

Another unique feature of HFD’s services is that we are able to put together complete marketing plans for our customers with budgetary constraints.

Our marketing plan involves distributing a fixed number of flyers at a regular time-frame (for example, every fortnight) to specific distribution areas, with a choice of as many or as little suburbs as you choose. The advantage of this option is to allow our customers to obtain the discounted rate on the cost of bulk printing and paying for the distributions as they are delivered one area at a time. This therefore allows our customers to utilize the profits from their new business to offset the cost of the distribution.

Some factors we take into consideration when developing your marketing plan:

  • Which distribution areas do you want to cover?
  • What is an appropriate time-frame in which to distribute to these areas so as to get customers familiar with your business?
  • Over what frequency period do we distribute your flyers – i.e.: Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly?
  • What flyer design should we use – i.e.: 1 color, 2 color or Full color?
  • What size pamphlet should we use – i.e.: A3, A4, A5, A6 or DL?
  • Are we able to do one bulk print run for you to save on printing costs?
  • Would you like your fliers to be distributed all at once or a set number of flyers per week, resulting in separate invoices for each distribution, to aid in cashflow?

Once we have taken all these factors into consideration and provided you with an appropriate quote, we can then put together a Distribution plan for you that will enable you to have a better idea of the timing and areas of distribution for your flyers.

Business to Business (B2B) Distribution

We here at HFD understand that finding an effective way to get your message across to targeted businesses can be a very challenging and, at times, daunting task.

Hand-delivering your flyers direct to businesses is time consuming, ineffective & costly for the following reasons:

  •  Most businesses do not have letterboxes in the vicinity of their shop / business premises.
  • Attempting to deliver flyers to businesses with mail boxes within commercial & industrial areas is both inefficient & time consuming due to the distance between businesses.
  • Hand delivering to businesses is like the ‘luck of the draw’, whereby the business proprietor may or may not be the same person the flyer is delivered to, therefore resulting in the likelihood of your flyer being binned.

As a result, from experience, the most effective way we have found to reach these businesses is via P.O Boxes. This is because:

  • Most medium & large businesses have P.O. boxes.
  • Many home-based businesses have P.O boxes to keep their business separate from their private lives.
  • We are able to target both private and commercial business P.O. boxes.
  • We have access to all suburbs and P.O. boxes in Melbourne.
  • The person picking up the mail would either be the decision-maker of the business and / or be more in-tuned with the interests of the business proprietor.
  • We deal directly with a liaison officer within Australia Post who is able to assist us on any queries relating to a particular drop which we have done.
  • The businesses that use our service also act as very good auditors for us as they have their own best interests.
  • Due to the smaller number of P.O Boxes as opposed to residential homes, distribution costs work out to be very reasonable and effective.

Should you decide upon our B2B facility, please note these specific criteria which is required by Australia Post in order for distribution to occur:

  • All flyers must be pre-bundled.
  • Bookings need to be made in advance.
  • Paperwork must be filled out appropriately.
